Aim
To demonstrate the carrier and amplitude modulated waveforms present in a radio receiver.
Apparatus
- Valve radio receiver (Betatron)
- Dual beam C.R.O. and probes
- Video camera and monitor (optional)

Description
The oscilloscope is operated in its dual channel mode with the probes connected to the base of the transistors marked with white out. The chassis serves as an earth for both probes. One channel displays the modulated carrier wave while the second, the audio signal.
