To illustrate a simple electrostatic generator that is almost impervious to humidity problems.

Description
A commercial home gas lighter acts as a cheap source of reliable static electricity. It is constructed by shortening the earth electrode and the attachment of an aluminized Christmas tree decoration. The original design is due to Guido G Pegna Am Jour. Phys. 45 p218(1977)
