Description
The apparatus consists of two tubes, one surrounded by another in which there is a number of holes. Thus one tube has its aperture directed upstream and the other directed across the stream. Each tube is connected to an arm of the manometer. The pressure difference in the tube is given by the difference h in the level of the liquid and the velocity of the fluid stream is given by
v= sqr rt. (2 g h)
