Aim
To demonstrate the different rate of heat conduction in various metals.
Apparatus
- Conductometer
- Bunsen Burner
- Paraffin wax

Description
Four different metals are clamped in the disc of the conductometer. A small chip of paraffin is placed on each free end. When the disc is heated the chips melt and fall off in the order of decreasing conductivity of the metals used.
