This demonstration may commence with a small equal number of different coloured pucks on the air table with the separator in place. The separator is removed and the collisions tend to distribute the coloured pucks evenly over the air table. With only a couple of pucks of each colour the distribution may equate to the starting state with different pucks on opposite sides of the table whereas with a larger number this distribution is unlikely to occur.
