Aim

To demonstrate some of the basic properties of friction.

Description

ANGLE OF REPOSE

A block of wood is placed on the inclined plane and the angle of repose adjusted until the block slides with uniform velocity. The tangent of the angle then gives the coefficient of friction between these surfaces.
