Aim
To demonstrate that a rocket can be propelled forward, by gas being ejected out backwards.
Apparatus
- Rocket on a wire
- Cart
- Soda Bulb
- Pricker

Description
A soda bulb is inserted into the back of the rocket or the cart. Since the soda bulb is filled with compressed Carbon Dioxide gas, when pricked the ejection of the gasses propels the rocket or cart forwards.
