Aim
To demonstrate coupled oscillations on the air track.
Apparatus
- Linear air track
- Two or more gliders
- Springs

Description
The gliders are connected to the binding posts and to each other via springs. The different modes of oscillation may be demonstrated. A high frequency is realised when the air gliders move in opposition, and a lower frequency when they move with parallel velocities.
