Aim
To demonstrate the influence of moment of inertia on bodies rolling down an inclined plane.
Apparatus
- The inclined plane
- Ball bearings, cylinders, etc

Description
The demonstration consists of releasing simultaneously on an inclined plane two objects of the same geometric shape but different mass. It is found that the two objects reach the bottom together. If however two objects of different shape are released the body with the larger moment of inertia takes the longer time.
