Me-1 Bicycle Ergonometer

Aim

To illustrate in human terms the power required to light a globe.

Description

Pedal power turns an ordinary car generator which has two 24V 250W globes as a load. A voltmeter and ammeter allows an estimate of power to be made.

POWER = V × I

1 HORSEPOWER = 746 Watts
