Aim
To demonstrate the diffraction pattern of a multi slit object.

- Spatial bench

- groundglass screen
- T.V. camera and monitor

Description
The laser is directed onto the portion of the slide containing the slit arrangement required. The resulting diffraction pattern displayed on the projection screen is bright enough to be clearly seen by the class. An alternative setup uses the spatial filter and/or the collimator together with the T.V camera viewing the image formed on the groundglass screen.
